
Alexys Sayegh, ‘24 (she/her), is a singer, educator, and conductor. She grew up in Corona-Norco and graduated from Santiago High School Class of 2020. Alexys then moved to Minnesota for 4 years and graduated from St. Olaf College with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. She has sung in many ensembles at St. Olaf, including The St. Olaf Choir, Chapel Choir, Manitou Singers, and Chamber Singers. Not only is Alexys trained classically, she also loves to sing in more contemporary styles, and sang in a treble a cappella group. She has competed in many singing competitions, including the Classical Singer Convention/Competition and the Minnesota National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Competition 2022, where Alexys advanced to the Semi-Finals in her category. Alexys has experience managing adult choirs, being on the student executive board of the St. Olaf Choir, and interning for Northfield Youth Community Choirs. In the summer of 2023, Alexys spent a month in Urbino, Italy, furthering her performance experience through the program Musica Nelle Marche, taking voice lessons and performing in various opera houses. Now Alexys is back in CNUSD as an elementary music teacher, and conducting the Circle City Children’s Choir!
